Monday through to Thursday - Las Vegas babe

Personally, one day in Las Vegas would be enough for me. But it was nice to actually have a lie in and unpack for a bit. My favorite casino is New York New York, of course the others are nice too but this one in particular rocked my boat. Of course you have casinos and casinos some poshe were games start from 50cents, other for normal people like us (mean poor but happy) where games start from 5cents - my favorite ones:) i have to say i gambled a lot and sometime if not persuasion of others most likely I would spend there all evening night and day. Fortunately there was someone looking after me. What is nice about gambling? You avoid all the crowd. You sit in front the machine and you can then relax, plus drinks are served there so you dont have to worry about anything - apart from mney - that is the only one thing you should worry in Las Vegas. And it is so easy to lose it all. Luckly I was winning from time to time so the bilance was not so bad at the end of the stay there.
One day we spent on walking along the strip and visiting and gambling in all casinos. It was a long long walk but really nice - stil my favorite casino is New York New York. One evening we went to see David Coperfield - wast of money and time in my opinion. He was bored and didnt really care about the show. All tricks I've seen before - should have gone to see The Circus de Solei. It would be nice to say - next time - but I am not planning to go back there. I can't really understand why people like to go there for stag do's.
Too many people, too expensive and not really my cup of tea.
Anyway it was a nice experience and lets leave it like this. I didn't take much pictures as it was dark all the time for some reason, of course apart from the obvious one that there are no windows in the casinos.
I think I am more outdoor person and places like Las Vegas are not really for me....

Osobiscie jeden dzien w Las Vegas mi by w zupelnosci wystarczyl. Ale nie powiem, bo milo bylo sie rozpakowac i polezec w lozku z mysla, ze dzis nigdzie nie musze sie ruszac. Pierwszy dzien byl powalajacy. Chyba odwyklam od ludzi a tu bylo ich tlumy a tlumy. Normalnie nie bylo sie gdzie ruszyc. Co mnie osobiscie strasznie denerwowalo, no ale coz - moge to dodac do bagazu doswiadczen. Jesli chodzi o casyna to moje ulubione to New York New York - najwiecej tam wygralam:) a reszta jest rozna i przerozniasta i sa te dla bogatych i sa te dla biednych - czyli moje ulubione. Gry nie kosztowaly za duzo wiec moglam grac i grac. Jesli chodzi o bilans zyskow i strat to nie bylo tak zle. Moze na zero nie wyszlam, ale to co bylo przeznaczone na straty, zostalo stracone :)
Drugi dzien spedzilismy na spacerze po Las Vegas - od kasyna do kasyna, mila rozrywka plus ogladnelismy kilka pokazow na zewnatrz, ktore maja za zadanie przyciagnac uwage i zachecic do odwiedzenia w srodku. My i tak mielismy w planach zwiedzanie wszystkiego, wiec nie bylo ciezko nas zachecic do wstapienia w progi.
Jednego wieczora udalismy sie na pokaz magii w wykonaniu slawnego Davida Coperfield'a - jednak sie postarzal. Ogolnie marnie oj marnie bylo. On sam chyba byl juz znudzony robieniem tego samego w dzien w dzien, a poza tym nie zaprezentowal niczego czego bym wczesniej nie widziala. Wiec podsumowywujac, nie zrobilo to na mnie jakiegos wrazenia. A byla opcja zeby pojsc na Circus de Solei. Milo by bylo powiedziec, ze do nastepnego razu, ale nie sadze zeby takowy nastapil, bo nie zamierzam sie tam wybierac - za drogo, za zaludniono, za ciemno i jakos wszystko ZA w negatywnym tego slowa znaczeniu.
Jedyna szkoda ze nastepny punkt programu to powrot - jedyny argument za by w Las Vegas pozostac troche dluzej.


Hoover Dam

Sunday - Grand Canyon

It is a first day were we actually have nothing else planned apart from one atraction - Grand Canyon! Happy day. Breakfast in the hotel and off we go. Flagstaff is not far from GC so we 've booked two nights. Saved us hussle off looking for something. It is quite comforting knowing that we have a place to stay. So relaxed and full of energy we went to explore a big 'hole in the ground'. And actually it is a massive/huge/enormouse (all applied) hole in the ground. It is so surreal that sometime I felt like standing in front of a paiting not real nature. It is thousand of canyons within the canyon. I couldn't quite understand the hugeness of it. We spent there a full eventfull day. We weren't rushing, we were just enjoying. We didn't stay for the sunset but we had a lot to take in anyway. We finished day with a lovely chinese food.


Wielki Kanion i nic wiecej - taki plan na caly dzien. Nie za duzo do jezdzenia i nocleg w tym samym miejscu, wiec czego dusza zapragnienia. A pragnie widokow i widokow i jeszcze raz widokow. Nie wiem jak opisac to uczucie kiedy po raz pierwszy zobaczylam Wielki Kanion. Mozna to chyba porownac kiedy czlowiek po raz pierwszy w zyciu widzi morze, z tym ze do potegi. Generalnie to ja dalej mysle ze ktos po prostu narysowal to cale miejsce, bo wyglada ono tak nierealnie! Ze jest duze, to kazdy wie, ale ja wrecz mysle, ze jest to miejsce jest przeogromnie przeogromniaste. Spedzilam tam caly dzien i dalej oczom nie wierze. Mozg po prostu nie mogl tego przetrawic, ze jak to tak tysiac kanionow w jednym kanionie. OGROM.
Spedzilismy tam caly dzien. Czesc trasy przeslismy, czesc przejechalismy autobusem. Co prawda nie zostalismy tak do zachodu slonca, ale i tak dzien byl pelen niezaomnianych atrakcji. A na koniec chinskie zarcie i zyc nie umierac :)

Saturday - Powell Lake one more time and Antelope National Park

First time we had one day to do whatever we wanted to and nothing was rushing us. We went to Antelope Park first to have this one behind and then just enjoy the time off by the lake. What can I say about the Antelope Park? Beautiful but definitely too crowded and all about taking pictures. We went there thinbking we would enjoy and admire that beautifl canyon and take some pictures if we felt like it. In fact we went there and we were literally forced to take pictures every second. Even guided where and how to take them. What's more there were so many people there was no time to simply enjoy the views. We were rushed or stoppe by other group. It wasn't the nicest experience. It was worth going there but I won't go back again. Once was more than enough. Tired and a bit annoyed we went to the lake. It was crowded too but it was understandable as it was hot. We had a lunch there and we swam in the lake. It was what we had needed. The day we finished in Flagstaff and the storm was chasing us.

Na dzis mielismy zaplanowane tylko dwie rzeczy - zobaczyc 'Wawoz Antylopy' i poodpoczywac troche wiecej nad jeziorem. A potem w droge w kierunku Wilkiego Wawozu (Grand Canyon). I to by bylo na tyle. Ja strasznie nie moglam doczekac sie tego pierwszego, jako ze w Internecie widzialam wiele nieziemskich zdjec stamtad.I nie zawiodlam sie co do zdjec jakie stamtad posiadam. Wawoz nie za wielki - cos ponad mile. Przeludniony ze ho ho. Wjechac tam mozna tylko za oplata i z przewodnikiem. A przewodnik po to, zeby mowic jak i gdzie robic zdjecia. Osobiscie mi sie to nie podobalo. Ja chcialam nacieszyc me oczy widokami, a bylam wrecz zmuszana do robienia zdjec. Nie poprawial sytuacji fakt, ze kanion byl strasznie przeludniony wic poruszac swobodie sie tam nie dalo. Sama nie wiem czy warto czy nie warto bylo tam byc. Zdjecia na pewno sie udaly, ale nie jest to miejsce do ktorego powroce. Zmeczeni udalismy sie nad jezioro. Zjedlismy lunch i wykompalismy sie w niebieskiej wodzie. Odpoczelismy i znow w droge. Dzien zakonczylismy w Flagstaff - miasteczka nalezacego do slynnej Route '66'.

Friday - Zion National Park and Powell Lake

Today we wake up very early - 8.33am we were setting off. We didn't know where exactly we were going and were was an entrance to the Zion Park. We weren't far to the North entrance but what we wanted to do was the south one - the most popular one. And now I know why - Beautiful, amazing, astonishing, pictureque, wonderful - my personal number one. I am definitely coming back. I had my hiking shoes with me but didn't wear - silly me. It was the best time to put them on and I forgot! The views were amazing. It took my breath away. I just wanted to go on a trail and walk and admire. The weather was just perfect - blue sky, not too hot but warm enough, the sun was there but not too much. We did few trails and there were few more that I'd like to do in the future. But in general I just fall in love with the place. Red anbd green - those are the colours of the Zion Park. We didnt rush ourselves. But of course after few hours it was time to move to the next attraction - Powell Lake. It wasn't far from the park, but because we had started day quite early we wern't up to anything. Just dinner and chilling out in the hotel room. We had plenty time next day to enjoy and do whatever we wanted to.

Dzisiaj pobudka byla dosc wczesnie, bo o 8.33 bylismy w samochodzie gotowi do drogi. Nie do konca wiedzielismy gdzie dokladnie jedziemy. Znaczy wiedzielismy, ze chcemy zobaczyc Zion park, ale nie bylismy pewni gdzie dokladnie znajduje sie wejscie do niego. Oczywiscie amerykanie sie dobrze przygotowali na takie okazje - oznakowania drogowe sa latwe do zrozumienia i bez problemu doprowadza cie do celu podrozy, a dodatkowo na miejscu wyposaza cie w mape i szczegolowe informacje - co i jak i gdzie. I tak tez sie stalo w tym przyppadku. I zakochalam sie od pierwszego wejzenia!! Park Zion jest po prostu cudowny. Czerwien i zielen to kolory tego parku i zestawienie ich jest po prostu prze-boskie. Sam park i dostepne dla turystow tereny moze nie sa ogromne, ale dostarczaja zroznicowane szlaki i atrakcje m.in. zwiedzanie w siodle (chcialam strasznie ale czasu nie bylo i konie jakos tak mizernie wygladaly, ze nie chcialam im wiecej bolu sprawiac). Oczywiscie gorskie butu byly - w samochodzie, wiec znow nie bylam zbytnio przygotowna na wspinaczki. Ale nie powstrzymalo mnie tym razem to - musialam. Widoki byly prze prze przecudne, az nie chcialo sie wierzyc, ze to wszystko stworzyla natura. Opuscilismy park ze smutkiem - ja osobiscie spokojnie moglabym tam spedzic caly tydzien. No ale coz, celem podrozy bylo zobaczyc jak najwiecej a nie jak najdoglebiej. Na pewno wroce! Z niedosytem kierowalismy sie w strone Powell Lake. Ku naszemu zdziwniu, bo jak dotad wszystko bylo dalej niz myslelismy, dotarlismy tam dosc szybko i jeszcze caly wieczor byl do rozplanowania. Najpierw trzeba bylo znalezc nocleg i tak tez uczynilismy. Udalismy sie rowniez na kolacje, ktora byla pyszna i po krotkiej debacie stwierdzilismy, ze odpoczynek i nic nie robienie to to co jest nam teraz potrzebne, a jeziorem bedziemy sie cieszyc nastepnego dnia.

Thursday - Arches National Park

As we stayed not far from the park we didnt rush ourselves in the morning but we didnt have a lie in either. It was really hot that day so when we got there I really didn;t feel like walking. But we did a bit. We did a loop around Window Arches in 100 degrees! To start off was really nice buton the way I was praying for the experience to end. Didn't expect it'd be so hard and SO hot! But then there was more to see and it required more walking. And it was worth it as the views were mind blowing. We would see more as there was more to see but we weren't prepared - not enough water, inappropriate clothing and shoes. And it was hot, like really really hot! So we finished our walk and we were back on the road - to Zion National Park. The scenery changed again to red-green. We did 4000 miles since we started!

Jakoze na noc zatrzymalismy sie blisko parku, rano nie spieszylismy sie z pobudka. Pogoda nam caly czas dopisywala, ale tym razem bylo na prawde goraco. Osobiscie nie chcialo mi sie chodzic, ale widoki byly przepiekne i tym razem trzeba bylo sie ruszyc sie z samochodu by cos zobaczyc. Wiec trzeba bylo sie poswiecic. Pierwszy spacer wokol 'Lukow Okiennych' (window arches) troche mnie dobil, ale bylo tam wiecej do zobaczenia wiec trzeba bylo poswiecic sie troche wiecej. Aczkolwiek bylo tam wiecej do zobaczenia, my nie bylismy na ten upal przygotowani. Nie mielismy wystrczajaco wody i ubrania i buty nie te. Wiec po zakonczeniu naszych spacerow, bylismy znowu w drodze do Zion Park. Tego dnia zrobilismy ponad 4000 miles odkad zaczelismy ta przygode i to nie jest koniec.

Wednesday - Mesa Verde to Moab

One more day of amazing, different to what we have seen views. We drove to Mesa Verde - beautiful desert hills intersected by canyons where for some reason people hundreds years ago decided to live. Driving there we thought it would be a quick one - drive in, look, drive out and on the way to another atraction. But we were more than wrong! You need at least a day to see all what it has to offer and enjoy a walk to the canyon. We decided to focus on main free attraction (as access to some of the houses is restricted to a guided tours only). It took half an hour to reach the attraction but the views on the way one more time were spectacular! Then, as expected, the road took us around the atractions and we could decided when and where to stop to have a closer look (if we wanted to). After a good couple of hours spent there we drove as close as possible to Arch National Parl. And lucky us, we chose the town called Moab - just 4 miles so as you can imagine the views were already superb.

I nadszedl kolejny dzien przepieknych, innych niz dotychczas widokow. Krajobrazy zmieniaja sie tu w zaskakujacym tempie. Mozna powiedziec, ze za rogiem czeka nas kolejna dawka niezapomnianych i nieoczekiwanych wrazen. Az dziw, ze przyroda moze stworzyc takie cuda. Dzis udalismy sie do Mesa Verde, miejsca polozonego wysoko w gorach (czy wzgorzach) poprzecinanego wawozami, w ktorym ludzie kilkaset lat temu postanowili zamieszkac. Najpierw byly to dziury w ziemi poprzykrywane prostymi konstrukcjami drewniano lisciastymi, a potem to prawdziwie budowlane osiedla. Jadac tam myslelismy, ze to bedzie jedna z tych szybkich atrakcji - wjezdzam, ogladamy i nastepna prosze. Ale nie! Potrzebny jest dobry dzien, zeby zobaczyc wszystko to co to majestatyczne miejsce ma do zoferowania. My niestety troche z czasem sie zmagalismy wiec postanowilismy postawic na szybszej wersji zwiedzania. Ominelismy miejsca do ktorych jedynie z przewodnikiem mozna wejsc (kosztowalo to troche, a i kolejki byly nie male). Jak to tu w ameryce, droga prowadzila do wiekszosci miejscy i tylko od nas zalezalo, gdzie chielismy zatrzymac sie na troche dluzej. Widoki byly przcudne i po tak spedzonej polowie dnia, czas znow bylo ruszyc nam w droge. Tym razem ku Arch National Park. Nie moglismy wybrac lepszego miejsca na nocleg. Moab oddalony jest od parku o 4 mile i dzieki tej bliskosci widoki w samym miasteczku byly przecudne. Zakosztowalismy troszke tego co czekalo nas nastepnego ranka.
